In recent time, govietnamvisa.com also received some emergency calling from the hotline explain that they were in Vietnam airport but they could not obtain the visa entry Vietnam, what is the problem? Having booked our flights to Vietnam through a UK tour operator, we were assured that we could obtain a Vietnam visa arrival at HCMC airport by filling out a entry form and presenting 2 passport size photos. This was confirmed to me by a work colleague, who had visited there 4 weeks prior to us. This is definitely not the case! You must have either a Vietnam embassy visa or a letter of recommendation to collect your visa Vietnam on arrival before you travel. After an hour of speaking to 3 different people, showing our pre booked tour itinerary, even though we had a tour guide waiting for us, we could only enter once we agreed to stay at another hotel in the city (the one already booked was’nt suitable) and use the services of an agent to obtain a visa entry Vietnam for the following day. At lunch time, the following day the agent came with our and approx 12 other passports for people in the same position as ourselves. This cost us 120 US dollars each for the Visa entry Vietnam and the cost of 1 night in a 4 star hotel! We have no one to blame but ourselves, as we should have checked for ourselves. Let our experience be a warning get a visa before travelling!!!

For time and money saving to collect visa entry Vietnam, please DO NOT make a mistake like:
-       Book a tour/hotel  but not apply online Vietnam visa upon arrival or Vietnam Embassy visa before coming Vietnam
-       Apply vietnam visa arrival but do not make a payment online for the approval fee to get the Vietnam visa approval letter
-       Get the Vietnam visa approval letter by email but do not print it out to get Vietnam entry visa stamped at the airport.
-       Print the Vietnam visa application form instead of Vietnam visa approval letter
-       Do not check the information in the Vietnam visa approval letter before getting on board. Some wrong information like wrong birthday, wrong full name… will case some unexpected difficulties.
-       Forget to prepare 2 passport sized photo or photos are not followed Vietnam visa photo requirements
-       Forget to exchange money to USD to get Vietnam entry visa stamped at the airport
-       Your passport is not valid 6 months from the date of arrival
